June 6 to July 16, 2022
Are you ready for the fun? This year, our Summer Reading Program will be for six (6) weeks!
For this year’s reading challenge our young readers will need to set a personal goal of completing at least 30 picture books, and for our chapter readers the basic starting goal is 6 chapter books, but there are other options as well.
-As always, younger children may read to each other or be read to by an adult or older child.
-Young friends may read to each other, and each will get to count the books read.
-Young children may be read to by older siblings, and each will get to count the books read.
-For our chapter readers, 10 picture books will equal 1 chapter book (but you must read chapter books, too).
-Chapter readers may share a book and take turns reading to each other and both will get to count the books read.
-As always, you may read books you already have at home as well as library books, but if you want to check out and borrow a library book to take home, you will need a UCPL library card.
Please Note the Following:
–Registration and the program begins Monday, June 6th.
–Late comers are always welcome, but program registration ends at the close of the business day on July 9th.
–Reading logs must be turned in by July 23rd.
We are looking forward to seeing all our summer readers once again!!
