Youth Services

For children and young adult patrons, we are pleased to offer a growing and diversified selection of classic and popular fiction and non-fiction book titles.  These include a broad range of age and reading level appropriate materials such as board, and  picture books for young children;  easy reader and chapter books for early independent readers; plus novels, for general teen recreational reading as well as non-fiction materials and a variety of online resources for homework, research, and personal enjoyment purposes.

Materials for recreational reading, research, and home schooling can also be borrowed from our Evergreen Indiana consortium partner libraries around Indiana with a library card number and PIN.  This is a free inter-library loan service, and can be done at the library or online from home, or on the go with a portable personal device like a smart phone or Wi-Fi connected tablet.  For more information please be sure to ask one of the library staff for details.

The library also offers a broad selection of eBook, eAudiobook, and eMagazine titles for young patrons through our OverDrive Digital Collection which are accessible and free to use through the online app, or with the newly released “Libby” app.
